Pre-painted Steel (PPGI/PPGL*) is a bare metal substrate or corrosion resistant substrate that has had paint applied to both sides through a continuous coil coating process, which produces a uniform paint finish. It combines beautiful colors, corrosion resistance, and the strength of the steel to create the most versatile steel product. It is suitable for a variety of applications such as roofing, sidings, and casing for electrical appliances.
*PPGI is short for prepainted galvanized steel coil while PPGL for prepainted aluzinc steel coils.
The substrate coil is processed on a continuous paint coating line (CCL) wherein the surface of the metal is cleaned, pre-treated and applied with various layers of organic coatings.
Ral & Pantone colors are most common used for confirming colors.
